Floods in Beijing

There was crazy flooding in Beijing which caused the death of 37 people....my heart really goes out to the people in Beijing right now...I'm in Nanjing now which is south of Beijing but I was in Beijing about a week ago.

Take a look at these pics: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-18943003

Also, I have been to three cities since my last post -- Xian, Hangzhou, and now Nanjing -- I left my camera cable at one of the hotels so I don't think I'll be able to post more pics until after I return to the States at the end of the week. (Sigh) But I still plan to post an entry from every city with pictures so you can come on my trip with me :)

Today is the last day in Nanjing, then off to Shanghai for three days then home. Thanks for those of you that posted on the blog I do get the comments and it's nice to hear from you. Much love!

Last Day in Beijing: The Great Wall

No more fear of heights!

A two hour bus ride to the outskirts of Beijing, then 1 more hour in line to take the sky lift up the mountains to the Great Wall of China. Crazy day but pretty incredible sights (See pics below.) I had no idea about the sky lifts until I got there...I've been afraid of heights for years but I kicked in on the way down!Another view of The Wall from the sky lift
